elder wisdom meets modern technology
““When the student is ready, the teacher will appear. When the student is truly ready, the teacher will disappear.””
Why we center elder Storytelling
We are building the world’s first digital living library powered by elders.
At a time when history is being erased, voices are being silenced, and communities are being fractured, Nana Knows exists to do one thing:
Remember. Preserve. Activate.
We transform the lived experiences of elders into a dynamic, community-owned knowledge system—fueling healing, learning, and innovation across generations.
For many folks whose roots link to disenfranchised communities, the 2000s have been difficult. Technology has made the world smaller; and it gives us more frequent and rapid examples of man’s inhumanity to man. Though the times may feel unprecedented, the wise ones know there’s nothing new under the sun. What if our elders are living libraries who possess the answers to our greatest challenges as human beings …simply because they’ve already lived through it and survived it? And what if technology can be used for good to honor elder stories and learn from them in real time?
